Last day to create/vote for “Rogers Best App” Contest

Today is the last day to create or vote for other in the Rogers Android “Best App” Contest. You have until 9:59:59am. All you have to do is come up with an idea for an app and submit it. If you have a great deal of Facebook friends you could essentially come from behind and with the entire contest on the last day… the current leader has only 428 votes.

So go ahead and create something… tell people on Twitter to vote for you and you could walk away with that app being created and an HTC Magic or Dream. There are a couple ways to enter:

1. Audio Clip where you can ”Voice your App” entry, this can not exceed more than 30 seconds in length;
2. Facebook Entry via “Write your App” entry where you submit the title of your app and a maximum 140 character description of your application idea.

The app that’s in the lead now has 448 votes and is described as “A character recognition application that would allow for languages other than English (Chinese, Hindi, Arabic, etc.) to be recognized on web pages and text messages, with the option for messaging to occur in those same languages without having to buy a phone from a particular country. ”

The app currently in second place has 428 votes and is created by Shane Guénin and is described as the “Rogers “MY Account” app. Which will show you your minutes and messages used,set up reminders for payment, view your current billing summary. We could all use this app!”
