1,000 mobile phones and 2,000 texts brings Tchaikovsky’s 1812 overture to life

Every once in a while a new marketing idea comes to life involving a cellphone. This time it’s Vodafone and their “idea was simply to use a collection of mobile phones with TXT alerts that – when received in the sequence – created a symphony : Tchaikovsky’s 1812 overture”.

All together it took 1000 mobile phones, 2000 texts, 53 different ringtone alerts and created one song. You’ll see below the sequence of order of all the devices and how everything is timed to perfection.
