Nokia Beta Labs intros “Nokia Image Space”

Nokia Beta Labs is back again with a new project. This time it’s called “Nokia Image Space” and it’s a “solution for showing a new view to your photos, as well as to those from your friends and other people”. Confused?

Well basically you take a picture from your device and upload it to Flickr. From the supported Nokia phone it works with geotagging from GPS and pinpoints the exact image and location. If there are other pictures that are similar to yours, a 3D recreation is made of the full surroundings. Not sure what this will eventually be used for, perhaps a way to compete with Google’s Street View?
