Virgin introduces new Smartphone plans that cap off at $100/month

With the new iPhone and BlackBerry devices available at Virgin you’ll also find new Smartphone plans. So make sure you read all the fine print before you sign up so you know exactly what you’re getting into. You’ll see below a pic of the old plans plus the new offerings.

When it comes to Smartphones you can choose the Combo plans or you can build your own Smartphone plans. For the Combo Plans here are the details:

$50 a month you’ll get 500 MB Data, 150 anytime + 50 Bonus minutes, Unlimited Evenings & Weekends plus Voicemail 10 & Call Display OR Unlimited Text & Picture Messaging

$65 a month you’ll get 1GB Data, 250 anytime minutes, Unlimited Evenings & Weekends plus Voicemail 10 & Call Display OR Unlimited Text & Picture Messaging

$80 a month you’ll get 2GB Data, 400 anytime minutes, Unlimited Evenings & Weekends plus Voicemail 10 & Call Display OR Unlimited Text & Picture Messaging. (Visual Voicemail is included)

$100 a month you’ll get 3GB Data, 500 anytime minutes, Unlimited Evenings & Weekends plus Voicemail 10 & Call Display AND Unlimited Text & Picture Messaging. (Visual Voicemail is included)

Virgin has the following Smartphones available: Apple iPhone 3GS 32GB, iPhone 3GS 16GB, iPhone 3GS 16GB White, iPhone 3G 8GB, BlackBerry Bold 9700, Pearl Flip 8230, Curve 8330, Pearl 8130. If you choose to go the “Build your own” plan, you’ll start off with Data and they’ve added a couple more and increased the prices by $5.00. The myPlan Voice plans have stayed the same.

Here’s a breakdown:
$15 per month gets you Unlimited BlackBerry Email and Instant Messaging
$30 per month gets you 500 MB of Data
$35 per month gets you 1GB of Data
$50 per month gets you 2GB of Data
$65 per month gets you 3GB of Data
$85 per month gets you 5GB of Data
An extra $5 per month give you the “Flexi-data” that expending on how much data you use your account will fluctuate and you’ll only be billed for the tier you land in.
