Rogers to exclusively launch Acer “Liquid e” this Spring

It looks like the Sony Ericsson XPERIA X10 is not the only Android-powered goodness coming to Rogers this year. They have announced that the Acer Liquid e smartphone will be coming to Canada this Spring.

The Liquid e was officially shown last week at the World Mobile Conference in Barcelona and has the anticipated Android OS 2.1, 768MHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, 3.5-inch WVGA high-definition capacitive touch screen, 5 megapixel camera with video capabilities, WiFi, Full HTML browser, GPS, Bluetooth, 3.5mm headset jack, can hold up to 32GB with a microSD card. Overall dimensions are 116x54x12.75mm and weighs 135 grams.

John Boynton, Executive Vice-President, Marketing, Rogers said “Rogers is very excited to be partnering with a highly respected global brand like Acer to bring the Acer Liquid e to Canadians consumers. By exclusively launching, the first Acer smartphone in Canada, we are once again demonstrating our industry-leading ability to be first to bring to market the latest and greatest mobile devices Canadians are asking for, and adding to our already impressive line-up of Android-enabled devices.”
