Charts show Apple’s continued app dominance

At the Mobile World Congress 2010 last week, analytics firm Distimo presented to the audience the state of mobile applications and how the top six stores look against each other. They analyzed the Apple App Store, BlackBerry App World, Google Android Market, Nokia Ovi Store, Palm App Catalog and Windows Marketplace for Mobile.

Clearly as you’ll see in the charts below that Apple has a massive lead when it comes to the number of apps available, free vs. paid but more importantly they have average pricing too. Android comes in second and will be interesting this time next year to see how much more growth they will gain.
