Rogers One Rate roaming plans “shatter people’s perception”

Rogers officially announced their “One Rate” roaming plans today, we mentioned these in a post a few weeks back. Roaming is a big concern for wireless customers, mainly because our rates are incredibly high to begin with.Think about stepping outside your country and paying even more when hopping on another network. The “One Rate” plans allows you to use data in the U.S. like you do here in Canada (it all gets deducted from the same data bucket).

John Boynton, EVP of Marketing for Rogers said “Our customers have told us they are uncertain as to whether to use their smartphones while travelling in the United States… we are pleased to introduce breakthrough North American One Rate wireless data plans. These plans provide cost certainty to the frequent business traveller, Canadian snowbird or cross-border vacationer to the United States who wants to keep in touch with work, family and friends. These new offers shatter people’s perception of wireless data roaming when visiting the United States.”
