The Android-powered Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 launched on April 15th by Rogers with OS 1.6. There was much talk when Sony Ericsson themselves declared that the device cannot do multitouch – this was apparently not possible due to limitations of the hardware.
A new rumour is flying around that started in the U.K. from “a man on the inside” of Sony Ericsson’s PR team that claims a very “big” update is scheduled this September for the X10 to OS 2.1… and yes the rumour says it’ll enable multitouch.
