It’s nice to see a Canadian company do well! Calgary-based Multiplied Media has announced that their Poynt app has been downloaded on over 3 million mobile devices. In addition they state that over 50% of users use the app on a monthly basis. In May there was over 22 million searches – an increase of 750% over May 2009.
The Poynt app is available on iPhone and BlackBerry devices and plans are to roll out to Android devices soon. The app allows you to find local phone numbers, addresses, maps, directions, movie listings and book dining reservations.
