Video: Flash might be coming to the iPhone… thanks to SkyFire

SkyFire is a mobile browser that’s currently available on Windows, Android and Symbian/Nokia platforms. Missing is the iPhone and the main reason is because it enables flash… which Apple is not the biggest fan of.

However, today the fine folks over at Skyfire announced they’ve submitted Syfire 2.0 for the iPhone to the App Store. Skyfire says the app “addresses Apple’s concerns regarding Flash deployment on mobile devices. Rather than enabling Flash, Skyfire will translate videos into Apple standards. Skyfire supports HTML5 but at the same time, we recognize that the transition to HTML5 for 100 million Flash publishers will take years.”

To make a point they’ve created a working demo of the app on the iPhone 4… plus they show how a video plays back from Flash to HTML 5. Check out the video after the break
