The good news is that we have more competition in Canada. The better news is that the new wireless entrants are in full swing and dropping prices. Mobilicity recently stated on their site that the Sony Ericsson TM506 was sold out (in one colour) and now they’ve cut the price of the BlackBerry Bold 9700 by 50 bucks. Mobilicity launched back on May 14th and the 9700 was priced at $499.99 and it’s now at $449.99. This is now their 2nd price drop and here’s hoping we’ll see drops across the board… We’re just wanting Mobilicity to expand their network and launch in their other cities (Calgary, Edmonton, Vancouver and Ottawa).
