Rogers Q3 2010 results grow subscriber base to almost 8.9 million


Rogers has reported their Q3 2010 results: Revenue increased by 4% to over $1.8 billion and again data revenue was a main factor and makes up 28% of their total revenue ($477 million). Total activations (including upgrades) was a “record 529,000 additional smartphones during the quarter, predominantly BlackBerry, iPhone and Android”… “Wireless upgraded 61% more iPhones than in the third quarter of 2009″. ARPU (Average monthly revenue per user) dropped to $1.65 to $64.80 ($74.98 Postpaid and $17.10 Prepaid). It also looks like their total subscriber base has increased to 8,881,000. Even though the subscriber base is high, Rogers only added 125,000 this quarter, a drop of 42,000 from this time last year.
