Yellow Pages mobile app has been downloaded over 1.8 million times

Yellow Media Inc. has announced their Q3 financial results – these are the guys behind Yellow Pages. I checked their report out to see what’s happening with their Yellow Pages mobile app. They recently partnered up with TELUS by pre-loading their app on a few BlackBerry devices. In the report it states that this “exclusive partnership adds significant value, as it feeds YellowPages.ca local content to millions of TELUS 411 users and builds YPG’s mobile presence.”

No doubt it’s a good deal for them. More people are using their mobile these days and thankfully they saw the future is not in the once popular Yellow Pages Book. It also seems that more platforms will be getting the preloaded app soon – so you can possibly expect Android and maybe even Windows Phone devices soon. On September 29th it was announced that the Yellow Pages app was downloaded just over 1 million times… but now the report shows the app has seen over 1.8 million downloads.
