Bell Samsung Galaxy Tab now available with data plans starting a $20/month


Bell has officially launched the Samsung Galaxy Tab… this is not available in all locations so you’ll have to call around. Bell does offer a PDF with a complete list of locations that have supply, but stock is limited.

Specs of this tablet comes with a 7-inch TFT LCD display with 1024 x 600 resolution, Adobe Flash Player 10.1, a 1GHz Hummingbird processor a 1.3 megapixel front-facing and camera, 3 megapixel camera with flash at the back, WiFi, GPS, has 16GB internal storage and can hold up to 32GB with a mircoSD card. The Galaxy Tab runs Android OS 2.2 and weighs in at 380 grams. This also comes with access to the Android Market, Samsung’s Music Hub, Reader Hub and Remote PVR.

As for pricing, Bell has this for the no-contract price of $649.95 but if you get a Tablet Flex plan you’ll receive a $50 bill credit. There are a couple tablet plans to choose from. A $20/month that gives you 500MB data and if you exceed this you’ll automatically jump into the next plan at $35/month… this gives you 5GB of data. In addition, they’ve created a “Tablet TV add-on” for $10 per month. This gives you 10 hours of viewing (any overage is charged at $1/per hour).
