BlackBerry Style 9670 released by TELUS, $399.99 no-contract

Over the past few weeks we’ve seen the dummy devices and videos pop up but it looks like TELUS has released the BlackBerry Style 9670. This is a flip phone that operates on their CDMA network and comes loaded with RIM’s new BlackBerry 6 OS. Other notable specs is the full QWERTY keyboard, 3.6-inch internal display (360×400 resolution), Wi-Fi, 5 megapixel camera with auto-focus, flash and video recording and a 3.5mm headset jack. A couple bonuses that TELUS is throwing in the box is an 8GB microSD card and a BlackBerry desktop charger.

As for pricing, the “Suggested contract pricing” is $79.99 on a 3-year; $229.99 on a 2-year; $349.99 on a 1-year and $399.99 no-contract. Hopefully this changes as Future Shop had this listed for $49.99. This has not made it online over at TELUS but good to see another Berry flip device arrive. Much better than the original BlackBerry Pearl Flip 8230.

(Thanks tipster!)
