You’ve got to hand it to Mobilicity. Not only leading up to the holiday season did they launch in Edmonton, Ottawa and Vancouver but they released a slew of new handsets (Nexus One, Spice, Xperia X10, Curve 3G, Mobiflip, Wink) and found several distribution partners. Certainly a busy month and a half.
To sell their handsets they knocked the number of prices plans down from 6 to 3… but the most festive of all promos was their Holiday Offer. Notably the $40 unlimited talk, text and data plan. They named this the “Unbelievable Holiday Offer” and it was set to expire on December 24th, then was extended until December 31st. We’ve received an internal doc that says “These 2 offers give Mobilicity a huge advantage over the competition” and that “Due to the great success of our holiday promotions” both the $30 and $40 plans have once again been extended until January 16th, 2011.
In addition, the $50 mail-in-rebate for the LG Wink, MobiFlip and Nokia 5230 has also been extended until January 16th, 2011.
