Samsung says the Google Nexus S is coming to Canada

Amidst all the news happening at CES 2011 in Las Vegas I had a quick conversation with Samsung Electronic Canada’s Vice President Paul Brennan. He stated that the Android OS 2.3 powered Google Nexus S is going to land on Canadian soil with all its NFC capabilities. No specifics were given as to which carrier will bring it on – but most likely it will be either Rogers, Bell and TELUS (if not all of them) as they have the joint venture called Zoompass (again speculation). Also, this is expected to be released sometime in Q1 and no price plans were communicated.

Update: Looking over my notes Paul Brennan stated that it’s his intention to bring both AWS Spectrum and standard spectrum.
