Huawei and TELUS creating a “Joint Innovation Center in Canada”


Huawei and TELUS are working together to create a new Joint Innovation Center… so you’ll probably see more Huawei products over the next few years. Both companies will each own 50% of the new venture and it’s a 3-year agreement. According to the release it states “This new endeavor demonstrates the companies’ deep commitment to providing best-in-class solutions for TELUS customers, and driving the Canadian telecommunications industry forward” and they “will work together on enhancing broadband solutions, wireless and wireline offerings”.

Ibrahim Gedeon, TELUS’ Chief Technology Officer said “This unique partnership arrangement provides TELUS with the ability to quickly turn our best ideas into valuable products and services for our clients. It also demonstrates the value of our choice of Huawei in terms of the right strategic partner for now and into the future.”
