Update: TELUS HTC Desire HD pricing and possible release date revealed!

We first saw the upcoming HTC Desire HD with a TELUS logo on the boot up screen over a month ago. If you thought that was good news then this is even better! Thanks to one of our tipsters today for showing us a retail inventory screenshot that reveals the upcoming price point of the Desire HD to be a stellar $499.99 no-contract. In addition, you can see that this Android-powered device has a “Street Date” of February 10th (which is a Thursday). All that’s needed now is for TELUS or HTC to make an official announcement.

Some specs of the Desire HD have it coming with OS 2.2 (probably will eventually be upgradable to OS 2.3), a 4.3-inch LCD screen (resolution of 480 x 800), 1GHz Qualcomm 8255 Snapdragon processor, Wi-Fi, GPS, 3.5 mm stereo audio jack, 8-megapixel camera with dual-flash that can record 720p HD videos.

Exciting… you like?

Update: Unfortunately we were asked to take down the image. Christopher Bennett, Director, Communications for Best Buy Canada sent us a very nice note simply stating “I can verify that the information you have posted in this story is not factually accurate. Neither the price nor the release date information have been finalized or even determined yet.”
