Rogers expanding Manitoba coverage March 31st… will reach 96% of Manitobans

The battle for Manitoba is on. TELUS will be launching there soon and earlier today MTS announced they will go live with their HSPA+ network on March 31st. In addition, since MTS and Rogers joined together to bring HSPA+ to Manitoba,  a press release just went out stating that “On March 31, 2011, Rogers Communications will launch its expanded reliable wireless voice and data network across the province”. Manitobans who want to hop onto Rogers will be able to pick up an iPhone, Android, BlackBerry or any tablet. This will now take Rogers coverage to 96% of Manitoba.

Rogers GM for Manitoba, Laura Kwiatkowski said “We’ve listened to Manitobans and know they want a reliable experience and more choice. Now the countdown is on for the fastest mobile speeds available in Manitoba.”
