Bell 911 $6-million Class Action lawsuit set to begin May 7th

On May 7th Yellowknife resident James Anderson and his lawyers will finally put everything they’ve work on for the past 4-years to the test. The reason is that May 7th is the date the $6 million 911 class action lawsuit against Bell Mobility is starting. Bell has for the last few years been charging customers the $0.75 911 fee even though there is no 911 service in the area. Bell recently stated they opted to charge the fee in the N.W.T because customers might use the 911 service while traveling. Supreme Court Justice Ron Veale will preside in the lawsuit and it’s expected to last 2 weeks.
