Angry Birds passes 30 million downloads on Android

Rovio’s Angry Birds has been copied by many other mobile game developers but none of them come close to the number of downloads. In 2010 Angry Birds topped Apple’s App Store as the top paid app. As for their Android app, Rovio’s Peter Vesterbacka announced at the annual Game Developers Conference (GDC) that the free-with-ads version of the game has been downloaded over 30 million times. No word on how much revenue they are bringing in but it’s estimated to be around $6 million a month.
