Video: TELUS Samsung Galaxy S Fascinate 4G Overview


Earlier today TELUS unveiled the Samsung Galaxy S Fascinate 4G. This is a follow up to the Samsung Galaxy S Fascinate 3G they released a few months back.

The overall design is similar to the previous model but the Fascinate 4G has a chrome bezel that surrounds the outside of the device. The backing of this Android has a “gradient gun metal finish” and a great shift away from all the other Galaxy S family of devices with the black glossy backing (finger print heavy). A quick rundown of the specs: It’s capable of reaching download speeds of 21 Mbps (original Fascinate was only able to hit 7.2 Mbps), runs OS 2.2 but will be upgraded to OS 2.3 Gingerbread later this year, TouchWiz 3.0, 4-inch Super AMOLED display, a 5 megapixel camera that can record 720p HD videos, VGA front-facing camera, a 1GHz processor, GPS, Wi-Fi and the ability to create a Wi-Fi hotspot, 1650mAh battery, weighs in at 118 grams.

As for the official availability, during the Samsung presentation they stated this will be hitting stores within the next 30-60 days and will be “Canada’s first 4G device”. No word yet on price points… but for now you can check out the quick video overview after the break
