Windows Phone Marketplace reaches 10,000 apps

In just 4 short month the Windows Phone Marketplace has crossed over the 10,000 available app mark (adding about 100 per day with the paid app average price of $2.10). This makes it the fastest growing smartphone app market – beating out both the Apple App Store and Google’s Android Market to reach this milestone. Microsoft has no hope of catching up to Apple or Google this year but do have a good shot of overtaking RIM. Currently in the BlackBerry App World there are 20,000 apps but I’m sure by the end of the year they’ll announce 30,000 apps… so it’s a race for 3rd spot.
