BlackBerry PlayBook battery life: “10 hours with continual use”

With the BlackBerry PlayBook set to be released on April 19th there are still a few outstanding questions. We know the cost of the outright pricing the carriers are going to charge, but missing is the contract pricing. Regardless, it’s probably best to buy this outright.

In addition, RIM was always quiet on the battery life. In every interview they stated that they are still testing the 5300mAh battery out. Staples has come forward and put the battery life info online. They state that the battery life has “10 hours with continual use”. To compare to the other tablets on the market: iPad 2 has “up to 10 hours of surfing the web on Wi-Fi, watching video, or listening to music”. XOOM Wi-Fi has “up to approx. 10 hrs.” and the Galaxy Tab has about 7 hours of battery life.

So what do you think of tablets? Are you grabbing one or passing?
