Consumer Reports: The white and black iPhone 4 are both 0.37 inches

Consumer Reports has now checked with a quick post about the white iPhone 4 apparently being 0.2mm thicker than the black version.

“when we compared a white iPhone 4 with a black iPhone 4 in our Yonkers, NY, lab using high-quality calipers, we found they were both the same thickness (0.37 inches). This supports Apple’s assertion that the devices are the same size”. Consumer Reports went on to say that they recommend “that you get a case with your iPhone 4 to mitigate an reception issue… But at least you don’t have to worry about it not fitting.”

So how did those other white iPhone 4’s get to be bigger? Is anyone who purchased a white iPhone 4 having problems or seeing a difference?
