Bell Mobility opening new call centre in Brantford “early 2012”

Bell Mobility will be opening a new 65,000 square foot call centre in Brantford, Ontario. It was announced that this new facility will create “several hundred” jobs over the next two years and reflects Bell’s “commitment to delivering a better customer experience”. The location is currently being refurbished and is scheduled to officially open “early 2012”.

Last December Bell was ordered by the CRTC to pay out a massive $1.3 million fine for “unauthorized telemarketing practices”. This violation from the National Do Not Call List (DNCL) was not conducted by Bell employees but the telemarketing companies they hired (and have since terminated)… so it’s great to see them hiring home-grown Canadian jobs.
