Earlier this week at BlackBerry World 2011 the new Bold 9900 was officially announced. The only Canadian carrier to reveal that this new touchscreen/QWERTY smartphone will be launching is Virgin Mobile. This makes Bell on deck to announce the device soon because Virgin is 100% owned by Bell. Finally, you can also expect SaskTel to release the new Bold 9900 as they piggyback from Bell’s device list.
Straight from an internal SaskTel road map shows a few notable upcoming devices. As we previously mentioned is the Android-powered HTC WildFire S and something called the Samsung “MoMo”. Below these are 4 curious devices that should be hints at the upcoming BlackBerry lineup that has been severely leaked online. The BlackBerry “Refreshed” Bold, Curve, Torch and Storm all could be the next generation of these devices. The refresh Bold could be the Bold 9900. The refreshed Curve could be the upcoming Curve Touch. The Refreshed Torch could be the upcoming Torch 2 and finally the refreshed Storm could very well be the Storm 3 (BlackBerry Touch).
These devices are all pegged for a release in the Q3/Q4 2011 time period and will be released by Bell too.
We’ll have more info soon!
