Samsung Galaxy S II sales top 1 million in 30 days… Galaxy S III coming next year

The original Samsung Galaxy S was a global success (Captivate, Fascinate, Vibrant). It was the first Android lineup to sell 10 million units and by the looks of how sales are going for the Galaxy S II it seems it’ll blow past that number. Samsung confirmed that the Galaxy S II has sold over 1 million Galaxy S II devices in South Korea within 30 days (the Galaxy S took 70 days). However, in an interview with Dow Jones Newswire JK Shin, President of Samsung’s Mobile Communications Division, stated that the Galaxy S III will be possibly announced sometime in the first half of next year. No details were given about the specs but imagine what that will look like: thinner, dual core, better camera and an even more vibrant display.

In the meantime, for us Canadians the Galaxy S II is one of the most anticipated devices and will be coming to Canada soon (late June/early July).
