Nexus S Voice Search bug “is entirely software based” and a fix is coming soon

For those Nexus S users who recently have been experiencing their Voice Search feature popping up at random times there seems to be a fix en route. Some users noted the solution was to pull the battery or to turn off the 3G functionality to stop this from happening, but Google has now stated that it’s not a hardware issue but completely software related. Google employee Paul wrote a note on the Support Forum that “Good news — we’ve identified the source of this problem which is entirely software based. We’re developing a fix which we can deploy with an over-the-air update. I don’t have a timeline for when that’ll happen yet, but when it’s ready I’ll let you know.”
