Here’s something cool coming down the pipe. The “Whistler Blackcomb Live” app is currently available for iPhone and Android users for free. This gives them the ability to view the weather, see hill conditions, lift status, maps, take pics and view the “Whistler cam” (webcam). In addition, you can track your vertical and share via Twitter and Facebook. However, a new feature will be added that will see boarders and skiers have the option to use their mobile as a lift ticket, rather than the usual paper ticket. This upcoming feature is currently being tested internally by Whistler Blackcomb and will be introduced “in the near future”.
