Best Buy launching “CinemaNow” in August, rolling out to mobile devices this Fall

Later this Summer Best Buy and Future Shop will be launching the CinemaNow video service. This will be available in August and give users to option to buy or rent movies online, directly competing with both Netflix, Rogers On Demand and iTunes. It’ll be available first on computers, with about 10,000 titles, then the plan is to roll out to a broader scope in the Fall to mobile devices, connected TVs, Blu-ray players and video game consoles. No official word on the price per download, but in the States movie purchases range between $10 and $15.
