Apple leaks “iPhone 4S” and its design within the latest iTunes beta

Apple will finally be announcing the new iPhone on October 4th, something that people have been anticipating for months. Unless Apple has something magical hidden up their sleeves, the latest latest iTunes beta has might revealed the official name and design. The code in iTunes 10.5 beta 9 shows two new “iPhone 4S” models, a black version and a and white version. The files also indicated that the iPhone 4S is a GSM+CDMA handset – which really would not be any use to us here in Canada as most carriers are leaving CDMA behind. Apple has since pulled the beta, but another important find within the files was an image of the 4S design, looking strikingly similar to the original iPhone 4.

The new iPhone – which we seriously hope the design is not this one – has been 16 months in the making. In the past we’ve heard everything from a bigger, thinner iPhone with an 8 megapixel camera and a faster dual-core A5 processor. Hopefully this is the “cheaper/lower cost” iPhone analysts are speaking about. Tuesday will reveal the truth…
