Existing Rogers and Fido customers given option to reserve the iPhone 4S October 7th

Majority of our Canadian carriers stepped up to say they’d make the new iPhone 4S available on October 14th. According to the Apple site Rogers, Bell, TELUS, Virgin, Fido and Koodo will all have it available at some point. Currently regional carriers MTS and SaskTel are out the game, and since there is no AWS iPhone yet so are Mobilicity, WIND and Videotron.

The iPhone 4S pre-orders start on the 7th via Apple, but Rogers and Fido have both informed their postpaid customers that they can order it directly through them via the online “Reservation System”. Rogers says that going this route will “secure a place in line”, without physically being in line. “A $40 (+ taxes) refundable reservation fee will be applied to hold the device. It will be credited back to your account when the device ships from our warehouse to the store. You can cancel your reservation at any time and your $40 fee will be credited back to your account.”
