Nokia shows off how the N9 is made, Lumia 800 not far behind (Video)

Nokia has never shied away from showing off its design prowess and manufacturing dexterity. It designs, creates and builds millions of devices each year, from $10 clamshells destined for Africa to multi-hundred dollar works of beauty. The rare MeeGo-powered N9 is one such beast, the design of which was adapted for use with their newly-launched Lumia 800, and Espoo has released a short video detailing its creation.

There is a satisfying precision to the process, from the polycarbonate moulding to the exactitude of the bezel. It’s also nice to know that there is a person ensuring the process is problem-free and done to specs.
