HTC shipped 13.2 million devices in Q3 2011


After solid Q1, record setting Q2, HTC has announced their Q3 results and once again they’ve met their targets. HTC Shipped a total of 13.2 million devices that resulted revenue of $4.54 billion, mainly due to its “strong brand recognition, leading product portfolio, and expanded distribution channels”. Some of the devices that were globally released in Q3 were the Sensation XL, a new partnership with Beats with the Sensation XL, HTC Rhyme and the LTE Jetstream tablet. Net income reached $624 million (NT$18.68 billion), an astonishing 68% over last year. HTC stated that the Wildfire became one of their top selling devices and the HTC Cha Cha (aka HTC Status) “continue to push boundaries in driving differentiation” in social networking.

This upcoming Q4 HTC is estimating shipments to hit between 12 – 13 million units, up 20%-30% over last year. In Canada we’ll specifically see the HTC Amaze come to TELUS and the HTC Raider arrive at Bell and Rogers.
