Google Goggles updated to version 1.7, brings continuous mode and advanced document recognition

Google Goggles, the camera app with a brain, has been updated to version 1.7 and man is it a doozy!

The Android-only app (for now) has added continuous scanning abilities, along with enhanced word recognition for documents. This is to go along with the awesome art-recognition and translation abilities it already had.

The full changelog is below:

1. Continuous Mode allows you to use Goggles without pressing the shutter button
2. Goggles can recognize text in a document and return a link to its online version. Try it on your favorite newspaper!
3. You can help Goggles recognize more objects. Tap on ‘Do you have a better suggestion’ in the Goggles results page.
4. Google Goggles will now show user submitted results in the search results page.

Check it out in the Android Marketplace.
