7-inch HP TouchPad Go reviewed, we glimpse what could have been

There was a palpable disappointment when HP killed the TouchPad in spectacular fashion, rendering almost useless a platform that was once considered to be the only real competition to iOS. webOS Nation has reviewed the never-released 7″ TouchPad Go, and it looks like a capable and powerful entry into the increasingly crowded smaller tablet market.

Unfortunately, HP will likely never release the Go to the market, at least not in its current form, so we’re left reading the extensive review and watching the well-made video our friends have put together. The Go has the same 1024×768 pixel screen as the TouchPad, so apps and games are compatible, and inside it has the same 1.5Ghz dual-core MSM8660 Snapdragon processor as the white 10-inch version (which Canada never saw, either). It also has a 5MP fixed-focus back camera, something that was missing from its bigger brother.
