HTC Flyer starts receiving Android 3.2 Honeycomb update in Canada

It’s taken its sweet time, but WiFi models of HTC’s unique 7-inch tablet are finally being upgraded from Gingerbread to Honeycomb. That is, they are receiving the version of Android actually created for tablets, whereas the version that shipped with the device was a highly-modified version of a smartphone-centric version of Android.

Nevertheless, the update should bring many improvements to the powerful single-core tablet, including better performance, support for true tablet apps (and their many APIs) as well as on-screen virtual buttons.

If you have received your Honeycomb update on the WiFi Flyer, let us know!
