Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7 Wi-Fi coming to Canada

Who’s ready to Tab again? In addition to the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1, 10.1 4G, and 8.9 LTE, Canada will soon find a place in retail stores for the Tab 7.7 Wi-Fi.

The Tab 7.7 is the Wi-Fi version, sans LTE like Verizon in the States announced yesterday, but measures in at only 7.9mm thin (0.31 inches), with a weight of a measly 340 grams. When this is released, we’re only informed that it’s “coming soon”, will run Android 3.2 Honeycomb with TouchWiz and there’s no word on when it’ll be upgraded to 4.0. The display is a 7.7-inch Super AMOLED Plus with a resolution of 1280×800, packs a 1.4 GHz dual-core processor. The camera is a 3MP rear-facing shooter that captures 720p HD videos with 1080p playback, and a 2MP front-facing camera for video calling. As for the design, it’s almost a mirror image of the previous Tabs that have been released, but the backing is brushed metal, which makes it look a bit more upscale.
