LG unveils new Optimus logo design

LG will be showcasing several new devices at Mobile World Congress in a couple weeks. Specs and images have already surfaced of the Optimus 3D 2 and the Optimus Vu.

To get ready to enroll the world in their new products LG has revealed a slight brand change to the Optimus design. Previously it was pretty flat, but now to reflect “the company’s reinforced design leadership” they will “transform Its Optimus Brand Logo”. Personally I wouldn’t say it’s much of a transformation, but certainly gives it a bit more life and depth. The Optimus logo now has metallic shine to it, something that’s commonly found around the bezel of their devices. In the press release LG stated that “the new Optimus logo is designed to accentuate the metallic edges and slim shape of the 2012 smartphone line-up unveiled at this year’s Mobile World Congress (MWC). It embodies modern and seamless simplicity”. In addition, LG gave a bit of a teaser that the devices they’ll be showing off at MWC will “raise the ante” and have “desired specifications”.
