HTC officially announces the HTC One X and the One S


Although many leaked images, specs and various code names have surfaced about HTC’s 2012 devices, today in Barcelona the company officially revealed the HTC One X and the One S. HTC’s CEO Peter Chou stated that “I’ve never been so excited about a phone like HTC One” and this will be their flagship lineup. Specs of the HTC One X (previously known as the Endeavor) is a Tegra 3 quad-core Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich powered device that also has the new HTC Sense 4.0 UI overtop. On addition, the One X comes with Beats Audio, a 4.7-inch 720p HD display, , LTE, 1GB of RAM / 32GB ROM, 8MP camera that shoots 1080p HD video and has the new HTC ImageSense technology (shutter time is 0.7 seconds), along with a 1.3MP front-facing camera and is 130 grams.

As for the One S, this also comes with OS 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich and Sense 4.0, but the processor is a dual-core. Other notable specs have the One S with a 4.3 inch display, 1GB RAM, 7.9mm thin and the same camera at 8MP with 1080p HD video capture and a 1.3MP front-facing camera.

HTC and Dropbox are continuing their relationship, all Sense 4 devices will come with 25GB of storage for 2-years. As for One X and the One S both of these will be rolled out in April, first in Europe, then hitting other counties “within 60 days” of today. No word yet on Canada… stay tuned.
