Is the HTC Titan II coming to Canada?

Over the past several weeks we’ve seen a respectable amount of Windows Phone 7 handsets. Respectable meaning a few, this compared to the massive gap of over a year without any new models. The HTC Radar went to SaskTel and Wind (soon Videotron), Nokia Lumia 710 arrived at Rogers, TELUS will be releasing the Lumia 800 on March 2nd and Rogers is will be launching the Lumia 900 sometime this Spring. That’s a solid 4 WP7 devices in a span of 6 weeks.

There’s a couple solid pieces of news over at Pocket-Lint. They are reporting that HTC will be releasing new Windows Phone smartphone later in the year, still unsure of the names, that will rock the next major OS upgrade with Windows Phone Apollo. Apparently Kouji Kodera, HTC’s chief product officer, stated that “For Windows Phone we haven’t decided on the branding yet, but you will see a new range of Windows Phones from us when Microsoft release their new Apollo operating system”.

However, more importantly, Kodera confirmed that the HTC Titan II will be released on counties that had LTE networks, so this makes Canada a prime target for this WP7 device. Kodera did mention Australia. specs of the LTE Titan II have it running the Mango OS, 4.7-inch display (480 x 800), 1.5 GHz Snapdragon S2 processor, a massive 16-megapixel camera with dual LED flash that can take 720p HD videos, 1.3 megapixel front-facing camera, and a 1730mAH battery.

Hopefully more details will unfold, for now, just hoop dreams.
