Samsung makes the Galaxy Note 10.1 official

It’s officially official. Samsung has announced the Galaxy Note 10.1 – this is being marketed as a tablet, not like the Note 5.3 that is cross marketed as a phone/tablet. Samsung stated in a press release that the Note 10.1 “provides multi-screen functionality to maximize efficiency in learning, work and creative endeavors”. So it looks like they are going for the student an business person for this one.

The Note 10.1 has a 10.1-inch display (1280 x 800), runs Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich), has a 1.4GHz dual-core processor, HSPA+, Wi-Fi, 3MP rear-facing camera and a 2MP front-facing camera, weighs 583 grams. Of course this has the S Pen, something that’s an integral part of the experience, but it’s a bigger S Pen that’s found in the the 5.3 Note. Other cool additions are that you’ll have Shape Match and Formula Match that helps you “correct and digitize formulas hand-drawn with S Pen”. This will also come with the new Adobe Photoshop Touch and Adobe Ideas.

It’s still unknown who will be releasing this tablet, or the pricing, but it’ll be available in 16, 32 and 64GB models.
