The “new iPad” now available for pre-order, “Starting at $519” in Canada


The “new” iPad was unveiled today and Canada is one of the 10 countries that will get it first. The official launch date is on Friday, March 16th and we’ll probably see lineups start on the 15th. This “Resolutionary” LTE-enabled tablet will work on Rogers, Bell and TELUS’ LTE network, but Apple also stated this is “world ready” so it’ll work on other carriers too (21Mbps HSPA+, 42Mbps DC-HSDPA, LTE 73Mbps).

Other specs have the “new iPad” will be available in White and Black, comes with a 9.7 inch “Retina Display” that has a resolution of 2048 x 1536 (3.1 million pixels), A5X quad-core processor, 5MP iSight rear camera that records 1080p HD videos, 10 hours of battery life, weighs in at 1.4-pounds and is 9.4mm-thin.

32GB: $619
64GB: $719

32GB: $749
64GB: $849

Update: Apple states on their site that “Order now for delivery between March 16 and March 20.”
