Rogers gives 2 months of Unlimited Data for New iPad owners who sign up on a Tablet Flex Rate Plan

It’s New iPad day and Canada is one of the lucky 10 countries to launch the tablet (Canada is one of the only two countries in the world to get the LTE version – United States is the other). Lineups happened throughout our fine land and stores opened early – Walmart went way early at midnight. To celebrate this occasion Rogers has decided to offer those customers who purchase the New iPad a data promo.

Starting today, March 16th, when the New iPad Wi-Fi and 4G and iPad 2 Wi-Fi and 4G is activated on a Tablet Flex Rate Plan, Rogers “will enjoy unlimited data for the first 2 months, then double the data for the next 4 months”. The data flex plans start at $5/month for 20MB (used to be 10MB), then increases to $17/month for 500MB (used to be 250MB). For $37/month you’ll get 10GB data (used to be 5GB). Rogers notes that if you pick a lower priced plan and go over your data you’ll slide to the next data tier. Also, after 10GB overage is at 2¢ per additional MB. In addition, Rogers is also waiving the SIM activation fee.
