RIM shows off its upcoming cross-platform Mobile Fusion solution (Video)

RIM is aiming to replace its BES services with a cross-platform end-to-end solution in its BlackBerry Mobile Fusion service, and as it nears release the company is releasing more hints as to its overall arc.

“From a single, web-based interface, provision, audit and protect mobile devices, including BlackBerry smartphones, BlackBerry PlayBook tablets and, expected in 2012, devices that use iOS and Android operating systems. This unified approach helps provide secure mobile access to work email and data in a cost-effective way,” says the blurb, but what remains to be seen is whether it really is cheaper and more functional than other approaches like Digital Locksmiths and its competitors.
