Hotel Tonight expands to Toronto and Vancouver, invites iPhone and Android users to pay less

The last-minute/cheap hotel market is pretty saturated, with names like Hotwire, Priceline, Expedia and more sitting prominently in the minds of tech-savvy consumers. But Hotel Tonight, a mobile-only service for iPhone and Android, is trying to eat into some of that market by linking with well-known hotel chains around the U.S. and Canada to provide last-minute rooms at up to 70% off.

Hotel Tonight is expanding its sizeable market into Toronto and Vancouver today, and is allowing its two million users to book hotels at noon each day for that evening. The service won’t appeal to everyone, but if you’ve ever found yourself without a place to stay in an unknown city, the choice is pretty good and prices are, on average, 35% off regular. You can book for up to five nights depending on availability, and the apps are extremely easy to navigate and manage.

If you’re into deep discounts and mobile apps, Hotel Tonight seems like a pretty good option. Check it out for iPhone and Android.
