Like TD Canada Trust did in March, Scotiabank is getting into the mobile stock/ETF trading game. The national bank is launching its iTRADE app for BlackBerry, Android and iPhone to provide on-the-go options for trade-a-holics who can’t wait to get home to their computers.
The apps allows users to:
– Provide access to personal account balances and holdings
– Allow clients to view open orders and charts, as well as sync watch lists, get quotes, option chains and review market news – all in real time
– Execute equity, ETF and options trades
– Allow personalization of the app and its icons to best suit customers’ trading needs
Launching on three major mobile operating systems is a pretty big achievement for Scotiabank, and shows how committed the banking industry is to mobile.
