TAG taxi app for iPhone expands network to include Taxi Diamond fleet in Montreal

TAG Taxi for iPhone has announced today it has expanded its network to include Quebec’s largest cab operator, Taxi Diamond. This means that users of the popular app, which literally stands for “Taxi Assigned by Geolocation,” can now hail one of many Diamonds without having to stroll through the cold winter streets searching for an elusive cab.

TAG Taxi announced today that the partnership “with Taxi Diamond is due to similar corporate cultures: the desire to continuously improve our services with the help of technology. We have always put users at the heart of the taxi experience and, our collaboration with Taxi Diamond follows that line. Because of this agreement, users will benefit from a fleet of over a thousand vehicles and an unparalleled coverage in Montreal.”

The app works similarly to Hailo or Uber: you can specify where you are and a taxi will be there to pick you up in minutes. Unlike those services, however, the collaboration with Taxi Diamond allows users to specify what type of cab, including an accessible vehicle, as well as a larger one for oversized bags or trips to the airport. You can also review the cleanliness of your cab, and you don’t have to pay any extra fees for the service.

If you’re looking for a Montreal-based iPhone-compatible tracking service, give TAG Taxi a try.
